Interactions! Those have always been interesting to me and I like drawing interactions, but I rarely get the chance to...
So this is what came out of my practice the past three days... It is still difficult to make perspective shots, but I am getting better at understanding the why-s, do-s and don't-s. Eventually it won't take me three days to make a sketch... eventually >.> Its for a time in the future. RIght now I am content with the progress I am making.
The nice shot is taken with, starting from left to right, Chet (
Chester), Broody (
brooding), the ears poking out (Me!) and Bourbon (
SobaSabertooth).
I might one day color this, but for the moment it will stay in my archive as I wish to make at least one more interaction picture before the week and, sadly, month's end!
So come in and GRAB A BOWL

das awesome where did you learn this?
i'm more awed on how you drew the characters using the perspective we are seeing here and combine them with the background.it works really well (IMO drawing perspective on a character is as challenging as drawing on buildings or rooms)
also loved how the perspective curved just at the edge around the horse.common things people would do is to draw them straight.that is what i might do.

Thank you!
I've used a couple of books and a lot of youtube tutorials during my study. For the perspective I mainly concnetrated on the book "How to Draw - Drawing and Sketching Bojects and Environemtns from Your Imagination" by Scott Robertson and Thomas Bertling. The youtube tutorials I watched are from this guy:
ModernDayJames
His tutorials are based off the book I mentioned previously, but he uses the same methods (and additional ones of course) to rotate characters in perspective. I used only the very basics of what he mentiones in his videos, but it works like a charm. I highly recommend both sources ^^
(The curved perspective line is mentioned in the "How to Draw" book)

Damn dude! Daaaaaaamn.
As I am not an artist, the ideia of perspective in a drawing fails me a lot. I've seen the theory before of using points of reference and them drawing the lines based around it, but adding characters to it and also make them looks natural is another different challenge!
That and your anatomy details are absolutely gorgeous!
Sweet pic you manage to deliver here! And thank you for adding my boar so I can have a chance to taste a delicious and tradicional bowl of lamen!
