Sir Kiljaos the Khajiit Paladin
"By the twin moons and the Eight, this one swears to protect the people of Tamriel!"
This is a drawing of my character Sir Kiljaos as a khajiit paladin in The Elder Scrolls Online. This indeed is my character in the said mmorpg. The class being templar and the build I use I've dubbed "paladin of wind and storm". For this drawing I took otherwise direct reference from his in-game-looks, but added things from Kiljaos from my regular drawing, like longer hair/mane and a cape, since the game doesn't have wearable capes sadly.
Here's what he looks like in the game itself: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qp9vg01vt.....719_1.jpg?dl=0
I've also thought up some background on this TESO version of Sir Kiljaos Windmane that differs from the one in my own world. For example he is the ancestor of my khajiit paladins in Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim and Legends (some of them even carrying the name Kiljaos).
Sir Kiljaos was one of the many people who were killed and soul was taken by the daedric prince Molag Bal, during the Interregnum, in the second era. In the process he became one of the Vestiges, ones without a soul and being able to return to life. With loosing his soul, Kiljaos also lost his memory, having no memory of his life before being killed as a sacrifice. After escaping back to Tamriel with some other vestiges, Kiljaos set on a quest to explore the homeworld that he had forgotten as a wandering mercenary. Seeing Tamriel being full of chaos and bloodshed, Kiljaos devoted his life to help those in need and join the quest to fight against Molag Bal. He being a khajiit, Kiljaos also saw his duty to join the raging war in the ranks of Aldmeri Dominion. Though he didn't hate the other alliances he was put to fight against, and did later on travel around most of Tamriel.
Few years after travelling, joining guilds, doing quests, exploring dungeons, taking part in alliance war, and rising into a paladin of storms and winds, Kiljaos also found some clues about his past before becoming a vestige. It turned out his parents died when he was only a cub, and was adopted and lived his childhood in Daggerfall, far from khajiits' native home Elswyer. This explains why he usually doesn't speak in third person like many khajiits tend to do, and doesn't understand their native language. His search for his past and journey throughout Tamriel is still ongoing. We may learn more about the past of this ancestor of Nerevarine Samu, Knight of the Nine Kilju and Dragonborn Kiljaos later...
