Saren and Shiba had been together for years now. Saren had done so much for Shiba starting with saving her from a full transformation into a vampire, help her on bounty hunter missions, and even tame the demon Opheal that inhabited her body. It seemed like nothing would separate the two no matter the situation. Having been lovers for years, Saren decided it was time to surprise Shiba. He offered her an engagement tag to be his permanent mate. Shiba always loved collars and refused to wear tags before during her time being a prostitute, wanting the tag to be her dedication to a man that would be her lover.
One day as Saren and Shiba were walking around a rose garden in a nearby town, Saren kept the engagement tag hidden in his bag. They kissed, talked, laughed, and had a great time. As they were nearing the exit of the garden, Saren stops Shiba, and pulled out the tag, proposing to her. Surprised, Shiba took the pink-gold rose tag and said "yes!" And thus begins the next step in Saren and Shiba's matehood.
