This is the first of a rather bizarre series of pictures I've long wanted to do, but that need some explanation.
About a year ago, I was staying at a small hotel near Birmingham (the one in Central England, in case you Yanks were wondering), where I saw a series of rather kitsch, decorative plates on the wall. They were of bulls in a pasture, with very peculiar colours, like a piece of cubist or fauvist art. Inspired, I took some pictures of the plates.
I decided I would anthropomorphise these bulls and show them all trying the same new type of flower and showing very different reactions. This first one doesn't like it at all. I wonder what his bovine bros will think of it as the weeks go by?
