Why are you having the same face twice? are you trying to replicate other VN's by making a full body sprite and faces/emotions of a character on the text bubble to reduce the work? Because otherwise you can simply put the entire sprite on the middle and no need to overload the hud :P

It's the same face because it is a test. I do not have any art fully done art done for this yet because I am still writing.
This was just to show the rough idea for how it might be layed out.
