it was a funny movie, I watched some years ago in the version you can find that is vhs's. something even funny about this movie is that I read it was meant to be an adult themed movie originaly, and if you realise, I think it is the only cartoon animal movie to have a hinted mating scene when they are alone in the night and you can hear the sax tune when the camera fades XD
if you read the wiki, or history of the movie you can read about that. in the scene prior to the part where the chicken dies and he is blamed by it. you can see rover and the his mate togueter at night, then in the end thats why you see the pups. you can check it again if you didnt noticed
lol, I meant because usualy cartoon movies are more about the stork if you think, but in this movie it is actualy clearly hinted in the specific moment they "did it" unlike any other that I know, well in alpha and omega 2, I think I cant recall which one, there is an scene in which Kate seems to think is the mating day
