Griddle does not answer in the end because she is crying of joy inside at the idea her step-daughter now see her as a mother and loves her as she married Allfire only a few days or weeks ago. And she's startin to get fat as you see.
Happy Mother's Day to all mommies ! I love how Queen Griddle and Princess Flame have a mother-daughter relationship in a comical show that could have easily made her the wicked stepmother but no, they made her her maternal figure (even if they have opposing personalities) as Flame's mother is probably dead, maybe she doesn't even remember her if not met her at all. Which is the case in my headcanon. Griddle and Blaze probably came early in Flame's life to have that family dynamic. Too bad King Allfire doesn't like Sir Blaze who lacks a paternal figure lol
