Shaka seems to be a good example of a less often seen face of the regime's brutality. While many of our number comprise those whom the regime has harmed directly- those who have lost friends, family and freedoms- the life that was taken from Shaka by the fascists was in fact, his own. Some of the others don't trust him and for that I don't blame them; he made no secret about the innocent blood that he's shed. Maybe I should have had him shot? Maybe that's justice? No. That isn't our justice. He told us he's changed and that he wants to right his wrongs. Maybe he's lying, but if he is, then he's a damn good liar. Most liars won't look you in the eye- Shaka barely looked anywhere else. It actually became uncomfortable to look up into that thousand-yard stare. No, he's telling the truth. We're all victims of the regime, but he's just a victim of a different crime. A more subtle crime. I wonder how many more there are like him? Trapped in the gears of the regime machine, not knowing that another world could exist outside it?
Roberto and I are going to sit him down tomorrow and figure out where we can assign him and if he has any useful information. In the mean time, I'll send a few messages out and see if I can substantiate any of the events he described. If we can prove he's telling the truth about his recent past, then it will make his motives easier to believe...

A more up to date version of my jaguar rebel Shaka. I'll put his whole backstory up in my scraps at some point and link it here, but there's a version here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/27411582/
I did this two years or so ago, but I still like it a lot. I'm thinking that I might overhaul it and add another layer of lighting though, maybe like a red flare from on the ground somewhere, just to reduce the blackness of the overall image. Dat MP5SD though. Still very proud of that haha.

Although it hasn't got all the grimdark details that I later assigned the poor bugger. :P
