"Tomi is a young Foot Soldier initiate following in his late father's Foot Steps to the absolute very end.
Set in the iconic ' City At War ' story line ..friends to April O'Neil : Tomi shows great musical aspirations and is the only male role model his very young brother Jiro. Tomi helps run a small coffee shop April frequents.
The family's taboo among the community is that his father was a runner and warrior in the Foot Clan.
After his slaughter .. Tomi's aging mother was left to raise the two boys on her own hoping better for the two than the fate of her husband. Hoping to leave the traditions of the Foot Clan behind.. ( indications allude that Tomi's dad was killed in battle with the TMNT. It is ambiguous however.. ).
After his final day at the coffee shop, Tomi sets home to get ready for Foot Initiation night. Seeing his fragile mother and little brother off he sets off for his new ' Career'. She gently prodded Tomi to not go hoping he'd reconsider his music. It's no use. Family tradition and honor in the Foot is stronger than that of a mother's love and hopes for her son.
Off on shaky grounds with the Foot lieutenants in charge of initiation ..his first task is to be part an ambush on the TMNT's by a flank of new Foot Soldier recruits.
Tomi joins the melee in his father's name. However hesitation, apologies, and lack of adequate training are of no use to the Foot and are guarantees of failure in the organization.
That and attacking one of their deadliest enemies, Raphael.
Tomi is no match for Raph and is dispatched instantly with a blunt stab from the Reptile's infamous sai.
The Turtle's retreat with more Foot on the way.
The Foot see Tomi's death as a lesson for diligence in training and as sign for revenge.
A knock on his Mother's apartment door by two Foot Ninja and a bodybag brought into the home with claims that he died with honor like his father.
They leave, she is shocked and puzzled. She opens the bodybag to reveal the still face of her young son.
She screams and cries. Little Jiro, too crying comes to her side to comfort her telling her not to worry .. that he'll get the guy that did this to Tomi.

.. one of the most tragic of any of the .. TMNT Tales, moved me too much.
i 'd mentioned to my friend Vaughn about wanting to do a simple custom on this character.
While not exactly comic accurate, Jeff Matsuda's TMNT movie 4 Foot designs were a little close to Jim Lawson's modern basic Foot Soldier design in the comic. The Movie Foot is based on Matsuda's work.
I believe Lawson also worked with the variations on the movie designs for the upcoming "TMNT Shash - up " Game.
The Foot figure is adaptable to this particular story.
Once completed the NECA Raph Sai ( and even any of the Playmates Raph sais i think ) should be able to be inserted into and out of the bloody chest cavity from either side.
A simpler custom compared to the Foot Bot prior i did, but i would assume a bit more disturbing.
The finish on him is drying now.
