Drigil - Self Portrait
Drew myself. Gotta have an avatar of myself, right?
Had to phase into the realm of reality for a moment to actually see myself in a mirror. As much as I envy Adomm's ability to manipulate form, she envies my ability to do that.
So yeah. What exactly am I? ... a bit hard to describe. I'm this sort of hyper-condensed form of matter that, through friction and flow, developed a growing intelligence over millions of years. Curiosity became a trait and the rest is my own personal history. Which involves a lot of observation.
Earth is not the first planet I've been to, but I've been to enough to know that a small floating orb with a gravitational field powerful enough to suck the entire interstellar body out of existence does not interact well with the denizens. So upon coming here, I suppressed my form and molded it into a moderately familiar shape based off a mix of the first living creatures I had encountered.
Seems to go well. It's no longer a flee towards the nearest cement shelter, but rather "maintaining safe distance". I'll take it slowly.
For now, though, the internet is a fantastic way to communicate with people, so I'll just stay in the ethereal realm and proceed to just do that instead.

Yes and no. While I can tap into the grid by influencing the flow of electron pulses in through a telephone line, it would involve doing them in perfect sequential order billions of times in a second to produce a desired result. Shifting my tendrils into reality for a brief moment to use some random human's terminal while they sleep is a lot more convenient.
