Nanuq gets a visit from one of the village elders to adress some of the village's concerns about her.
Wile some in the village don't mind Nanuq's size and think she's a great asset to the village others are less agreeable with her, claiming she takes up too much resources and not to mention they think her cursed because of her size.

Elder Ulva is actually one of the elders that's more neutral towards Nanuq and she is usually sent to speak to her on behalf of the village elders. And while she may nag she does have some respect for Nanuq since she saved her grandson, Suka, from a snowcat attack one day. So Nanuq mostly ignores Ulva's tone during these lectures, knowing the elder is just voicing the other elders concerns.

Thought this bit was interesting to show the size differnce better that nanuq has over the others in the village, when standing next to a more average size female of her kind. Males aren't much taller compared to the females though, typically only about 4-6 inches taller than the females.
