Dick’s Sporting Goods has run into a good bit of trouble since caving to the social media mob about guns back in February. We’re starting to wonder if they ever really understood their own demographic in the first place. Pretty sure some guy in a man bun wearing a ‘Hillary is MY President’ t-shirt and drinking a Chai tea wasn’t shopping in their stores in the first place …

I knew... I knew! I knew back in '82 that name was gonna cause some trouble. (Back then I was working in a silk screen shop, and we bought a lot of our sportswear from that company. My co-workers and I would have to stifle our guffaws and snerks when we'd hear the Boss say over the phone something like "Dick's not coming through..." or similar.)

It has already started at Cabela's Sporting Goods, I found when I shopped there yesterday. When I was ready to pay for my purchases of gun powder and bullets, the cashier pointed and said, "Strip down, facing me." Making a mental note to complain to the NRA about the gun control wackos running amuck, I did just as she had instructed.
When the hysterical shrieking and alarms finally subsided, I found out that she was referring to how I should place my credit card in the card-reader. After I pulled my pants up they asked me to shop elsewhere in the future. They need to make their instructions to us seniors a little clearer. I still don't think I looked that bad.
