I giggled when I saw that they ate at Smash Burger.
What I do find weird is that they know all sorts of slang and references such as 'MP', do video games exist in Furathia, or is there another explanation, ie things like the ouija board came FROM Furathia and were popularized by FUrathians in exile?

I can't think of every instance you mean - but I can explain some. Solar Flare they just thought they meant an actual solar flare, as for MP - they DO have technology in Furathia. It's just several decades behind us - I imagine their games would be at the level of the SNES at this point.
As for Slang? Eh. Having our characters have to constantly stop and rephrase would get old after a while.
