While Sivath is away for a few days, Fae grows bored and wanting some company aside from Ihdkar, Sivath's kobold minion, so she decides to try out a familiar summoning ritual that she had been learnign about. Though she had been warned not to attempt such a thing yet Fae gathers the required materials and sets up the area. After a couple of failed attempts she nearly summons a dangerous entity, had it not been for the wards she had remembered to put up at the last minute. This shook her up quite a bit and she stopped her attempts, going back to her books. Yet the next day she was attempting yet again, although taking better safety precautions this time and using a ratiual that would be relatively safer. Yet again she had several failures untill she made the decision to improvise a little bit, using a few drops of her own blood and taking a rather big risk as this made things rather unpredictable.

She finally succeeds and thankfully it looks like she managed to summon a harmless familiar, a rather large horned ferret-like creature. It would turn out that using her own blood has caused the familiar to take over some traits from her, such as the horns for one but also a near insatiable curiosity for all things magical... While Fae is excited at first it dawns on her she won't be able to keep this a secret from Sivath, in fact it would be even sooner than she thought as the witch suddenly is standing behind her.

While she got scolded by Sivath the witch was also rather impressed by her apprentice for completing the ritual but also for properly preparign the summoning circle and settign up wards. Though examining more closely it turned out to be a fluke with the improvised use of blood and Fae was fortunate things didn't go horribly wrong. Sivath told her about this, saying she would come up with a suitable punishment later for attempting such a thing on her own.
