Think an especially handsome, especially calm Whitetail Deer, only where the average Whtetail might reach 100 pounds, the elk would normally be 600, 700... up to a thousand. BIG suckers. :) Graceful in spite of it.

This is destined for a place of honor on the wall. There may be three other seasons when the series is done. Autumn, a bull elk, has already been sketched and is around here somewhere.
