Mission: 6
Objective: Retrieve hamster for Avis Brightwing
Nishi's Note: Optimistic
We completed our mission, taking a hamster from a fox to a bird, even though it didn't end well.
Going over everything that happened, I wasn't happy with it because I wasn't looking at who was being helped, I was looking at who was being hurt.
But if I wanted to stay with our team, I had to start being an optimist, so that's what I did.

This is quite the insightful finish. The way Fuxie describes the situation to Nishi goes to show just experienced she in her field of expertise. It also, to me anyway, helps to explain why she seems so angry and quick-to-react all the time.
Life situations seldom deal anyone win / win situations. More often than not, they are win / lose or lose / lose. It's how we chose to handle them that truly makes us who we were and determines how we are viewed by others.
If I may offer an interpretation, Faux Farewell always had the choice of whether he would protect Oxnard, or not. He could've easily just handed him over at anytime once he realized the dangers behind protecting him. However, his moral and ethical beliefs drove him to do what he felt was right and that was to protect the enchanted hamster at any cost. As a result, Faux went from being just a humble shopkeeper to a protector who had to kill or be killed in order to stand up for what he believed was right. Something that, no doubt, he knew would catch up with him in the end. In essence, a win / lose situation.
Something tells me that Fuxie is well versed in the concept of "We lie in the beds we make." Therefore, she is able to take each mission for its face value knowing all who are involved are doing what they feel is right to achieve the goals they are striving for.
Being able to find happiness amidst a world filled with people who all have different takes on what makes for sound moral and ethical behavior is a really tough thing. Especially when your desire to do what you think is right seems to have no bearing on the situation at hand. Fortunately, it would seem Fuxie is patient enough to work with her partners in helping them to realize that one can always find sunshine where it may seem there is nothing but rain. Sometimes, it really is the only way to trudge through a situation. However, truth be told, nothing is more powerful than positivity. Furthermore, being able to feel good about what you do at any capacity is a truly wonderful thing. :)

Hehe, Fuxie's tough and doesn't get fazed by these sorta things. (: That's why she's such a confident leader!
That's more how I see Faux too. (: A hero is someone who will risk everything to protect what he loves! I really don't think of him as a villain, and while Fuxie may see most people as her enemy, I think she understands people do what they want, or what they think is right, and for a lot of people those things just don't always match up. But when it comes to making sure her team doesn't feel lost, she can sound really convincing with her darker point of view.
Though, I guess in a way that's just how she stays positive about what she does in her own sorta way. 8D trying to figure out how different people think is pretty odd, but it's really fun to learn more about too. :D

Man, sad chapter here. I think this track fits well for this particular page: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nJoXJ0muJw
