This is one of the most powerful drawings I have ever seen. Maybe it just resonates with me?
I always thought that you can't say that you've given your whole self to your love – with nothing to spare – until you actually followed him (or her) to Hell.
You can dedicate your mind.
You can devote your heart.
You can surrender your body.
You can even give away your life, but even that is not enough to claim that your love is True.
But imagine that you followed your beloved to The Other Side and the doorkeeper tells you something like, “Let me check your personal file… Okay, looks like you didn’t sin too hard, you’re free to go to Heaven. Congrats, just proceed through this door… Say what? What’s his name again? Sure, let me check… Well, I hate to say it but he’s down there. No, there’s nothing I can do, I don’t write the rules. But that doesn’t matter, the main thing is that your eternity is assured! Just put him out of your head; he doesn’t deserve you, he wouldn’t end up there otherwise – right?”.
Now this is the ultimate test. The most important exam you will ever face. Will you pass?
