Fae was born into a wealthy family as the oldest of three sisters, and like her sisters she was a bit spoilt and had plenty of free time on her hands. Time that she spent in the manor's library where she discovered a few books on magic and witchcraft and soon she discovered she was able to actually use magic and so she secretly studied more of it. However the library didn't have all that much material on the subject so she ran out of things to learn quite soon and decided to ask her parents to allow her to enroll in a school for magic.

Her parents would not allow it though and they even removed every book about magic from the library, telling her that such a thing was not fit for a young lady and she was forbidden to leave the manor and the grounds since that day. However she was determined to study magic and decided to run away, using one of the simple charm spells she learned from one of her books she managed to slip away from her guard. But as she travelled to the magical academy she had to flee into the forest to get away from the guards her father sent after her... She lost the persuit as well as her way in the forest, wandering for the rest of the day to try and find her way back to a road untill she stumbled across a small cabin as the sun was setting. She was shocked to discover it was inhabited by a real witch after she was offered a place to stay for the night.

The next day she begged the witch, whose name was Sivath, to let her stay and teach her magic and to her surprise the witch agreed to teach her. There was, however, a price. She wasn't allowed to leave the forest without permission for a year or she would not be able to find her way back again, also she found out that nobody seemed to remember her once she was sent to the town she once called home. (Due to a spell placed on her by Sivath for her protection and so she could move freely around the town without her parents sending any mercenaries after her.) She actually became comfortable with this after a while, even if she missed her sisters at times, and she was happy studying under Sivath who turned out to be quite a patient and understanding teacher despite what Fae was led to believe about witches.
