I realized I hadn't drawn a dragon in way too long, so I decided to take what I knew about them, gain some inspiration from various fantasy sources, and design my own. This lovely lady here was the initial result, though there are still some aspects I'm working on, such as wings. One thing I'm torn on is whether to keep her flat-chested. As egg-laying reptilians, dragons wouldn't technically have or need mammary glands, but then again, we're talking about a mythological creature here, so reality is already tossed by the wayside :p I might keep her like this anyway because I kinda like how exotic it makes her look.

Diversity isn't a bad thing, especially in this fandom. I try and let my characters run the line from A cup to D cup simply because there are too many female characters in the fandom who just seem to be a carrier for a set of breasts. That, and as you point out, reptilian characters don't have the same anatomy as their mammalian counters.
That being said, even looking at her and knowing, I can't see her as female. Nothing about her jumps out and says "I'm a lady!". There needs to be some kind of tell that leads the viewer to realize she's a she.
Now then, does she have the ability to change her shape or create illusion? What type of world or society does she live in? If she lives in a mixed race society she may create the illusion of a bumpy chest to fit in with what the other races see as normal. Sort of like how some people use a professional name, she could have a public body form. (Like my purple Kitsune character. She hides five of her tails while out in public and when she gets back home lets them flop out. It is considered to be a literal pain in the ass.)
