There are a couple of things that stand out to me in this piece that I really like: 1) the melting effect on the eyes especially, but also how the background looks to be melting onto the dragon 2) The warm/cooler contrast in the background gradient and of the dragon with the background, and 3) how there's not a hard edge to the dragon, and it blurs into the background at the edges. Overall, I think this is a beautiful piece.
