There is some hate within the furry fandom towards overweight people in fursuits and I made this video to address the toll gating of against these people from fursuiting. As well as promote the positivity a plus size fursuiter are capable of within the fandom. other words stoping the shaming and encouraging any person of any size and figure to join in the awesomeness of fursuiting if they want to.

Is such hate especially prevalent? If so I guess I'm fortunate enough not to have experienced it or even witnessed it; the circles I travel in in fact view fatness as a positive rather than a negative. A good friend of mine gets a lot of positive responses for his suiting that not only doesn't hide his weight, but emphasizes it.
Yeah, there's always a few bad apples in any given barrel, but in my experience the furry community is more tolerant than the general public by a very significant amount.
Love this suit btw.

Thank you. But yeah. I wore a chub suit to illustrate the point against the negativity and hate geared towards fat fursuiters. I mean there are posts on twitter of the one tweet shaming and toll gating people based on body size. I have no problem with anyone suiting based on size. It's bad enough and sad but understandable that fursuits are complicated to make or and likely to cost a lot of money.
I myself am not a skinny person. I know I'm a bit on the chubby side without the inflatable chub suit and Bruzo isn't a fat obese character. I too see it as a positive thing. All us fursuiters are out there bringing real life to our characters weather we are out on costume outings, conventions and on YouTube. Mate, you mate a very excellent point.

I pretty much avoid most social media so I only know of what negativity I experience or witness, which has been almost none. Not saying it doesn't exist, but apparently it doesn't happen often face to face; I think the anonymity of the internet lowers people's social inhibitions, which depending on the situation can be either a good thing or a bad thing.
I really can only judge responses to fursuiting in a convention atmosphere, the only time I can observe it directly really, and I never notice much negativity to fursuiters who happen to be fat, or those that go out of their way to emphasize their fatness, even to the point of wearing a suit that intentionally makes them look fatter than they actually are. The latter is not a common thing relatively, but it's not hard to find at bigger conventions that tend to have a larger spectrum of variety.
Again, not saying it never happens, but I've never witnessed it face to face. If it happens a lot on social media, well, that's another reason to add to my many reasons to avoid social media. I myself am not much bothered by negative opinions of me by others, especially if they're complete strangers to me, but I realize I'm less sensitive about such things as many. It's hard to offend me unless one is trying to do so on purpose, and difficult even then to be honest.
Anyway, yeah I agree with you mostly; it's not something that needs to be done. Fat people know they're fat, and if they care to do something about it, there's certainly no shortage of resources to figure out how. If they're fine with it, let them be, I say. I'm firmly of the belief that people don't need to be told how to live their lives unless they're seeking advice on the matter.
I'm just also the belief that if someone is saying mean things about me on the internet, I'll just block them or just not go there and get on with my life.
But if people can be convinced not to shame others who are not doing anything wrong and not hurting anyone, more power to people that can convince them of such. You'll never stop everyone who does so, but if the problem can be lessened, that's an improvement.
Anyway again, great points, and great suit. I love playing as an Argonian in all the Elder Scrolls games. I'm hoping to eventually make, or have someone else make, at least a partial suit based on my dinosaur character Troodon, sometime in the relatively near future. I'm fat in real life, and Troodon is a bit fatter than my RL self, so want the suit to emphasize that. Troodon is "me" basically so I want him to be all that I am. Considering how much positive response art of him gets on FA, I'm not worried that I'd get much negative response once I can suit up as him. And if the haters want to make fun of me on the internet well, I can live with that. To some people 1 negative comment cancels out 20 positive ones in their head; to me though, it's precisely the opposite.
Anyway TLDR version: yeah I agree lol.

I meant to say made an excellent point. And that is one of the things I love about the furry community. Others like us in the fandom are usually very accepting and tolerant more then the general public and most mainstream fandoms. Thanks for the fave also BTW as well as complementing my suit.
