Wish you could recruit them full-time. Like tame a jagras or girros like you would palicos in the Everwood. Then they'd just chill out in your Room afterwards and when you go on a quest again you can choose to take them with you or not.

I agree, I was pretty disappointed to find out that they're fair-weather friends. So I just imagine that it's the same jagras joining me, he's just scared of base camp so he lives in the woods and comes out to hunt with me. I can dream, anyways.
