In late February, 2018, a rare sight was seen in Rome, Italy... snow! Supposedly caused by 'climate change', this frosty precipitation congested traffic all over town, and covered the many tourist attractions. You can probably see some pictures of various parts of the 'eternal city' covered with the white stuff (by going to Google, Bing, or other search engines).
One photo that stoked my imagination was of the ruins of the Coliseum, with a dusting of snow all over its exterior. It made me wonder if snow ever fell over Rome, back in the days when Julius Caesar was the emperor. Did it disrupt the usual activities inside the arena - where gladiators fought against lions?
This latest "Throwaway Gag" speculated as to what man and beast might have done, had a wintry scenario of this sort ever occurred...
