I'm actually kind of torn between the two, because I can see both styles working out really well with specific characters. As an example, I think the slime idea benefits more from a cartoony style-but the puppet idea looses something. Harpies, nagas and other creatires could go either way. For this specific one, I think the cartoon style works well. Feels more... bouncy? Aye'dunno...
