I've tried making a raffle for my 70 something watchers on deviantart to enter & help advertise me... but literally no one entered, i tried straight up asking for help to advertise myself but no one helped. why not? are the little guys just forced to stay little?
I've been doing things nonestop for the past 3 days trying to get noticed, but all i've accomplished is gaining a few single digit amount of watchers. (3 on here... what like, 1 on DA) i only needed to make 20 dollars before the end of this month, but i can't even accomplishe that, i've worked my hands till they hurt for nothing.

ok, rant over.

hey man, try not to worry, and be patient! :- ) gaining popularity isn't everything, and art is a journey. I've been sharing my art on deviantart for maybe five years or so online - my first account only gained about eight watchers after a whole year! Now, my current account has about 1200 after two years - and still, some people have five or ten times as many watchers, and that's ok! Everyone improves at art at their own pace, but getting noticed also takes a lot of time. Try yo start small. Focus on improving and getting comfortable in a unique style that people will come to recognize you by. If you're really worried about popularity, try integrating yourself into large communities, such as animation memes on YouTube. But like I said, fame isn't all there is! Art should be fun, so take your time and just try to enjoy the journey! 👍
But it's not even the fame i care about, it's just, artist with more followers more easily, super easily get commissions, (which makes sense) i just need to make a specific amount before the end of the month, & i can't even do that.
i've always had fun with drawing, i love drawing so much, but not being able to make a career out of what i love is... stressing, to say the least, i hate that i'm crying over this, but it just feels so unnecessarily difficult, and i don't even know why.
sorry for ranting to you btw.

Just stick with it, try and find something you enjoy and just have fun. Seems like lame advice I know, but I've been here over 10 years and let me tell you it's way better to find something you enjoy and let the fans find you slowly than to try and please people and get miserable and burnt out. You've got talent, so don't be discouraged :)
