Well, after fighting badniks, collecting emblems, and even racing with chao... that emerald was surprisingly easy.
Getting accurate colors on a screen is hard. The color range most screens can display (sRGB) is only a part of all the colors we can see - and many screens can't even manage to display that accurately. And of course there's everything else that touches the image too.
