belated birthday fanart for 
Gillpanda
Gillpanda fanart was chosen by my patrons for what I'd work on during last night's stream. I'd done some sketches but, this was mostly on the fly. This was daunting in general but, creating fanart for someone of Gillpanda's stature made it even more so. This was about an hour and a half minutes from pencil hitting paper to adding the ground shadow.
l'Ours Supérieur was a drawing I did for Inktober 2016 (the month of anthros!) of a bear in a cape and domino mask standing heroically amidst the gargoyles of Notre Dame. Loosely translated it means "Super Bear". I envisioned the bear as "the Guardian of Paris" and the idea that a talking bear would have to wear a domino mask to conceal its identity tickled me.
In honor of Gillpanda's influence and inspiration, I have her as l'Ours Supérieur! I thought it fitting. Plus, the idea of a panda wearing a domino mask (redundant!) also tickled me.
