Good Eve to you, lovely watchers! *tips her hat* I hope that your "Bendy Wednesday"'s been a good one and that all your favourite snack foods love you as much as you love them.
*sighs* I apologize, lovely watchers. Again, I'd planned on us having a nice, big Bend-A-Palooza this afternoon but other issues caused unforeseen complications resulting in our limited time together. As you might guess by the content of this piece, I rather enjoy the aesthetics of the game, if nothing else and have made a small cache of artwork for our time together moving forward.
I have to admit, as I'm on the 'net VERY little by comparison to most folkes it seems, I'm not very knowledgeable on most popular trends. I've never played "Undertale", though I'd like to. Most "Meme" humour completely eludes me, though I personally believe that's probably for the best... I encountered "Bendy & The Ink Machine" through a reviewer I occasionally watch and the visual style attracted me immediately. Having grown rather disenfranchised with gaming's trend toward "photo-realism" long ago, seeing something so different was a breath of Musky Joy and sensual pleasure. In addition- I've long enjoyed the art-style of the old roto-scope masters and the 'bendy' style often employed in the shorts of the 30's, and 40's fascinated me, so seeing this game was a treat for my senses and naughty places.
Then that damned song got stuck in my head... *sighs, grinning wide-eyed* The rest lays before you, beautiful watchers. I hope you enjoy.
Love yourselves, lovely watchers. Love each other. Make amends when you wrong another and reach out with compassion to those you just don't "get". One world and One love for us all. *blows a kiss*

Given my conversion of Woten's Day to Bendy Wednesday, you can see I have a certain fondness for the title, though I can explain why in greater detail later. Much like my utter disdain for "Friendship Is Magick"- which for some reason many seem to have thought has gone away simply because they saw one picture I drew and didn't bother to actually read the info or anything... *shrugs*... but anypoop- my opinion on the game is more nuanced than most would assume.
You already like Disgaea. Have you looked into NISA's other titles? They and their pals Altus, Gust, IF and Compile Heart make a ton of cutsie niche games that follow the anime-cartoon style. They're like some weird gaming clique, lmao.
I could make suggestions until I'm blue in the face, but my point is, the photo-realism is more of an instantly noticeable way developers of both consoles and actual games can showcase the limits of their designs. It doesn't mean that all titles will be this way, just that it's capable of it.
Sorry, I know it's long. I just get excited about games, devices and technology.
Anyway I love the picture. Reminds me of classic cartoons. I'd love to see one with this plot, haha.
My friend Nelson and I, we shared an enjoyment of many Altus/NIS games. He introduced me to the original Disgaea when it was new and from there my collection expanded out quite a bit, Makai Kingddom, GRiMgRiMoiRe, La PucelleTactics... though their exact flavour of art begins to grate on my nerves a bit as pertains to character designs, I generally enjoy the change from what's become the norm in gaming, returning to something more colorful and pleasant to look at.
Oo- that and thank you Freya, Baphomet and sweet Colonel Sanders for Turn-based gaming! *claps, whooting* Oh man... I needed that... Soooooooo tired of "real time" comabt in what passes for RPG's these days.
Don't feel badly about being long in the tooth , love. You seem to have things worth saying, it seems. *smiles* and thus far, are a pleasure to encounter every time. *bows, removing her hat with a smile*
Anywho, seeing my wife being a all shiny and inky and monsterous is a treat for my senses and naughty places.. *giggles*
