Mal, Void, and Firefly all drawn in ink pen in an effort to improve my drawing without sketching first.

I'd been thinking that Mal would look cute if she wore some kind of hat, and an ushanka was the first one I tried on her. I think it's adorable, and I don't want to change it.

Firefly's torso is a little messed up, I know, but I was doing all of this without references or any kind of sketching beforehand, so I think it turned out quite well, considering! You may also notice that Firefly's hand shows through the shaft of her staff, and has a weird blending over it. That's where I mistakenly drew the hand in front of the staff and attempted to correct it with white ink pen. That did not turn out well.

Also, Mal's hand is messed up pretty badly, and I initially drew the question bubble above her in reference to that, but after drawing Void in there, it looked as if she was questioning why Void needed such a large, ungainly limb. Hence Void's response.

Firefly don't care, though. It all burns the same. I imagine her voice coming out as a sort of coarse, disrupted digital voice which resembles that of somebody with a damaged larynx, perhaps from smoke inhalation.
