This was the last version of the Firebird when GM pulled the plug on the Pontiac Firebird and Chevrolet Camaro in 2002. Never thought that 7 years later, GM pulled the plug on Pontiac, just as it was coming back with the Solstice and the G8. You can get a "new" Firebird based on the current Camaro.... but you need a lot of dough!
Same here. I never thought GM would kill of Pontiac. Even if they struggled through the recession Pontiac had a lot of potential.
I looked up the new conversions you were talking about and man are they good-looking cars. Shame they're not in full-on production rather than just a conversion option. I think they'd sell well today, especially with all the 1970's nostalgia
