okay so maybe he's not of the stars, but the guy had his helpful nature taken advantage of by a dickweed centuries ago and now is trapped in a wooden whale pendant, which he just refers to as his lamp since everyone defaults to that term anyway. He's still nice, but it has a much smaller limit before he relents to the fact that it's not gonna change the crappiness of a situation and starts screwing with you.
