Rex does make a good point; he only showed knowledge of the system and interest, he never made claims or any insinuations that I caught that he had actual playing experience.
Also, as something of a hit and miss player myself, I think I am going to get so many things about this storyline.

The first game session with new players is almost completely character creation and rules explanations, and a quick review of the setting and what kinda things the game has going on. Oh, and re-explaining the rules and how things work. And explaining it all again.
At least, that's how it was when I first played. The game didn't even start until the second game session., And I still had fun.
Also, I was 22 years old. I didn't have any exposure to tabletop games in high school.
