Of course any time I go to a zoo I make a beeline for the lions and spend most of my time there. A shot like this is one I waited for for a very long time.
This lovely lady is an aunt to the other young 9mo lions in the enclosure. It became very clear that she was in charge when she jumped down and put two who were picking on each other in their places. XD
