A CYOA from patreon where every few days I post an image and people vote on how to change our victim. (Oh also I do a bit of horrible writing to accompany it. Sorry in advance.)
He'd had nothing better to do, no Christmas plans, no friends or family that wanted to get together. It was no wonder he wasn't as reluctant to follow the note as he should have been. The piece of lightly decorated parchment had appeared on his doorstep the day before, leaving him just enough time to thoroughly ruminate over the consequences of going or not.
Clark had decided there couldn't be much harm in attending, especially if there was going to be a large assortment of snacks and refreshments; goodness knows he wasn't going to be doing any cooking. He trudged through the deep snow with a look of uncertain determination, an expression that seemed to double upon his first look at the enormous mansion he had arrived at. The stone exterior was dark, foreboding, somehow made even more uninviting with Christmas lights and wreathes strung about its exterior. Even the doorknocker was done up in holiday fashion, but Clark still wasn't certain he wanted to touch it. He gave one last look behind himself, the freedom, then the note. He clutched it tighter and lifted a hand towards the knocker, pounding it thrice before nervously hopping back off the step to wait.
Moments passed like eternities, the nervous twitch in Clark's hand was becoming more notable the longer he was forced to wait. But finally, with almost equal hesitation, the large ruby door peeled open. Clark leaned forwards trying to get a look at his host, nearly falling forwards into the snow with how far he had to list. To his surprise, a shorter being stepped out, an elf, with... paws? A tail? Clark's expression twisted in confusion, they certainly looked far too real to be costume props.
"Ahh~ Welcome!" The short, grey skinned creature welcomed, brushing his silvery white hair away from his face as he leaned out the doorway. Something about the creature seemed... off, but at the same time, Clark found himself morbidly curious as to its intentions. The black latex adorning its body squelched gently with each motion, a sound that Clark couldn't stop himself from enjoying. "Please," the creature beckoned with a toothy grin, "Come in." Where hesitation had previously resided, the human now felt... curiosity, interest... He nodded with a gentle swallow and climbed the steps up to the manor, looking down at the other man as he was lead into the cool exterior of the stone palace.
"My name is Nega," the long grey tail swayed gently with the words, almost beckoning Clark in on its own, "You must be Clark." Clark nodded quietly. "Good, good. We've been expecting you. Please," he opened another set of doors in the main foyer, these opening into a warmly lit banquet hall. A long table stretched through the room, decorated in velvety reds and greens, steaming food covering every inch of its surface. Clark couldn't help but gasp at the display, he'd been hoping for some store-bought cookies... maybe some eggnog, but this....
"Our chef has prepared all of your personal favorites. Honey-glazed ham, pudding, roast turkey..." He listed a few more items but Clark was entranced by the sight of it all- the creature snapped his fingers. "Eyes on me," Clark obliged, letting his gaze fall to the latex-clad creature beside him. "Now... before we get to eating... you really under dressed for this, didn't you?" Clark blushed softly, he certainly hadn't expected something quite as fancy as this, his sweater and scarf really weren't as appropriate as he'd hoped.
"No matter... I'm sure we can find something for you to wear..." Nega smiled.
