Something else found in a ramshackle homeless camp. This Bible was sitting in the dirt, with a laminated insert of this man's obituary. Nearby were the remains of a tent that had burned down, with charred clothing and other belongings. The camp is still partially inhabited, with at least two standing tents, and three or four abandoned ones. I left as soon as I spotted one of the residents, a clean-shaven but grizzly looking middle-aged man who appeared to be sorting groceries near his camp.
