Well I couldn't sleep so I decided to put the finishing touches on this piece then submit it.

This is the second movement to the first Quartet in D I submitted earlier. However, I actually began writing this long before I started the other. Only about half a year ago I decided to revisit it, add to it, and change the key to D major.

I was mostly inspired by Classical period works when I wrote this. It starts out pretty slow and repetitive, but it really picks up around 4:30. This is also the first piece in which I experimented with pizzicato.
