This is the High Grade 1/144 RX78-01 [N] Gundam Local Type [North American Type]. :) I don’t know anything about this Gunpla apart from that it appears in the Gundam The Origin anime. There’s at least one other variation of this one in a different color scheme, but I forget the colors and what part of what country it’s for. The picture on the box makes this one look black with red markings, but its actually black with orange markings. It does have a clear read piece that goes over the eyes, though.
I normally skip using marking decals because they’re such a pain in the butt to apply, but the orange markings are part of what this one stand out to me at my local hobby/game shop. So I decided to add the marking decals on there, and this thing looks great with them! :)
The backpack can be customized to hold two beam sabers, just one beam saber, a shoulder mounted cannon, or parts to attach the shield or rifle to the backpack. I went with the single beam saber and shoulder cannon because that’s the setup on the box, but how you customize the backpack is us to you.
All in all, this is a really cool kit, and I really do recommend getting this one while you can. Its becoming harder to find in some shops, so if you find it, I recommend picking one up.
