Happy Halloween everyone! For this wonderfully spooky holiday,
LunarGabumon and I worked together to put this... uh, together! Enjoy it if you like, it’s pretty short and sweet.

Jordan grinned as he continued to stalk his prey, his stealthy form melting into the shadows around him. Gabriel had no idea what was coming for him; the oblivious Gabumon was too busy walking around the house and focusing on the cookies he was munching on. The rotund blue Shadox inched closer and closer, ever approaching his prey. Just a bit more, just a bit more…! Now! Jordan pounced into Gabriel, his pudgy form disappearing into the poor Gabumon as the ghoulish fox-dog seized possession of his friend’s body. Gabriel’s body shuddered, electricity sparking in the air as the ghost took control.
Awkwardly shifting from left paw to right paw, ‘Gabriel’ adjusted to his new body, frowning. “You’re awfully small Gabu, let’s fix that!”
Rushing off into the kitchen like a bumbling child, Jordan brought Gabriel’s body to the kitchen. Scanning the room, the pelt-covered reptile quickly laid eyes on the pantry. Licking his lips, he dug into the food storage, gluttonously wolfing down everything from powdered donuts to boxes of crackers. Nothing escaped their greedy maw, not even the consequences of binging so much food. Gabriel’s stomach, formerly chubby, was pushing out into a full-on beer gut. His limbs, similarly, had begun rounding out into something bigger and wobblier.
Finishing up the pantry at a pace only a ghost could achieve without a break, Gabriel/Jordan made their way to the fridge, a noticeable waddle in their step. Lettuce, carrots, leftovers… nothing incredibly delicious was immediately available, but ‘Gabriel’s’ stomach growled at the thought of devouring them nonetheless. Taking a few carrots in paw, the Gabumon began munching away on everything inside. If Gabriel had the consciousness to pay attention to himself, he would have noticed his ears starting to change place, or fur replace his scales…
The transformation continued as the possessed Gabriel ate, seemingly fueled by the feast of the fatty. His form shrank considerably- something larger than Jordan’s own size, but most definitely smaller than a normal humanoid- as his body pudged itself out. Gabriel was considerably roly-poly at this point, his features looking far more canine than before. The pelt he always wore had melted into his body, taking the form of increasingly dark fur, while his eyes began to shine a spooky orange. His teeth and mouth similarly were tinting orange, making Gabriel almost resemble an inverted Jack o’lantern in color scheme.
It wasn’t until after the fridge was thoroughly cleaned out- accented by a hearty belch of course- that the mark of a Shadox finally took form on Gabriel’s calf, glowing a familiar orange and boasting of his new ghostly status. With a sigh of stuffed satisfaction, Jordan/Gabriel flopped forward onto four legs, stretching with a twitch a leg at a time.
“Whelp, I think that’s far better, don’t you? I’d almost call it an upgrade- which it is, of course.” Jordan lept out of Gabriel and tumbled onto the floor, sprawling out clumsily as he adjusted to being in his own body again.
“Wha… wh-what’s… wha!!” Gabriel found himself leaping into the air and hovering there, awkwardly fumbling as gravity failed to affect the new ghoulish fox-dog. “How did I get here, what’s going on?!”
“Uh, I possessed you, pudged you up, and made you a ghost for Halloween! So… happy Howloween!” Jordan’s fluffy tail wagged, his dragon necklace swaying about on its loose end.
“I-I didn’t agree to this! ...How do I get down?” Gabriel looked pleadingly at his transformer; at least, when he was floating with his head in Jordan’s direction.
“Just think about it?” The blue Shadox hovered into the air and gently pushed his friend down to the ground.
“You say that like it’s- oof!” Gabriel stumbled backwards as he brought himself to his two-legged feet. “ ...I thought I’d be heavier on touchdown.”
“If you wanna be heavier, how about we-”
“Go soul hunting?! Oh my gosh yes!” Gabriel bounced up and down like a newborn pup about to be tossed a ball.
“Uh, yes actually! Considering how we’re part ghost and all, being physically stuffed is really just a suggestion-”
Gabriel fell onto all fours, dashing through the wall and into the cold autumn air outside. “Let’s go hunt then!”
“H-hey now, wait for me!” Jordan huffed and skedaddled after his obese friend.
Late that night, the cold air was filled with the howls of two hungry ghasts haunting the moonlit streets. Pedestrians found themselves waking up in the grass next to sidewalks, unsure how they got there and feeling unusually light, spiritually. Young trick or treaters began swearing that they got to pet some big ghost puppies, while older ones claimed mysterious ghosts gave them candy. Truly, it was a satisfying night for all on Howloween.
