Guys, I’m just going to warn you now that this blog isn’t going to be like all my other ones. Usually I offer people important life tips based on what I’ve experienced myself (at least, I feel they’re important, ha ha), discussions on diets and foods, hobbies, and all sorts of other things. But I just want to say that these next few updates are going to be anything but those. And while the subject does get really disturbing at times, I implore you to read what I have to say. In fact, if you haven’t been paying much attention to my blog at all, that’s okay, but please, at the very least hear me what I have to say for these next few posts.
Something really awful had happened in my city. Something, or someone, was going around and committing horrible atrocities to a number of people, many of whom were my friends. It shook the community, and it shook me…
Here’s how it started.
It was Tuesday, just after 9:00 pm. My best friend Elise and I were hanging out at my house after both of our shifts had ended. I had the day off tomorrow, but she had to work again, so she’d be heading back to her house in about an hour to get ready for the night. We spontaneously decided at supper to hang out, and she came over soon after. We mostly just been catching up on “Reconciliation Street,” chilling in my living room.
And yes, that decoration is still in there on the table. You know, that clay sculpture I made in high school that’s two red and blue spheres mounted on a skin-tone rounded base. As unsightly as I think it is, my mom, and Elise, convinced me to keep it around. Elise asked me once as to why I made it. I guess I was a bit… stranger you could say, back in high school. I was exploring and trying out new things, see what I liked. I guess at the time I was into weirder things like that. Art, animation, hell, even body mods. I even rewatched a few episodes of “Kelvin the Big Pink Dragon”, just to see some of the weirder things that went on in that show. Like when the live actress got turned into a male dragon. Considering how much child-friendly nudity that show got away with, that was a pretty graphical scene if you know what I mean.
But I changed. I mean, I’m in university finishing up my biology major, and working at a fabric store to keep things steady. Weirder transformations and other odd stuff is something of the past which I don’t have time for. Besides, that’s all just silly fantastical stuff. Sure, there’s all the rumors surrounding Vybrylon and the few posts I’ve read regarding some strange cult across the ocean, but that’s still pretty tame and normal. Corporations and cults are always doing something that people are going to object to. Humans don’t like change. Especially us here in Idallen, Bestorsia.
Elise still seems to enjoy that sort of stuff, but even she knew that one can’t linger or hope to lead a successful life dabbling in child’s play. Still, I let her have all the old comics I grew up with, since she still enjoyed reading those stories and checking out their artwork. Since she was getting into nursing, she enjoyed paying attention to the anatomy of the characters and the changes they endured. I admit it was interesting, but like I said, I had no interest in that anymore.
But back to the present time. So, we were watching “Reconciliation Street,” when my phone buzzed. It was over by Elise, so she picked it up with her free hand, as her other hand was holding her own phone. First I thought she was being silly and sent me a text message even though I’m sitting right beside her, and my phone was over by her. She flipped it on, and noticed it was from our friend, Kaitlyn, who lived with her girlfriend Vanessa down the street in their own small house. But the second Elise turned the screen on, her usual soft, jovial expression disappeared.
“Guys, get over here, now!”
That’s what the text said. Hearing this, I too was taken back. I looked up at Elise, unsure of what to make of text. She repeated it, and said there was nothing else. We had no idea what was happening, what the situation was, or anything! Just that Kaitlyn wanted us over at her place as soon as possible.
Confused and a bit shocked by the vague yet worrying message, we turned the TV off, put on our shoes and jumped into Elise’s car and headed straight for Kaitlyn’s house. Was she or Vanessa injured? Did they get broken into? Did Vanessa have another frustration attack? We had no idea.
Little did we realize just what we were getting into when all this started that very night.

PS. These posts might be a bit erratic in their posting, as there's still a lot of things going on over here following this event. So don't expect daily posts like some of my previous series. This one will take a while to get through.
