As his body kept rising into the air, slaughtering even more the poor truck cab, Barry's mind started functioning again, and admitted that even though it wasn't a bad horror movie, he was turning into a werewolf.
And a giant one at that.
His body had finally gotten all out of the cab, and he could now fully see his new body, except for the parts where his clothes heroically struggled against the juggernaut that was his gargantuan growth spurt.
And he could feel it wasn't over soon. On the contrary, it seemed to accelerate.
At this, part of his mind was terrified and worried, but another part was starting to actually like this, like the sensation, the thrill, the power.
But all of it agreed on one thing: Salt Lake City was in sight, he could easily reach it just by walking, and he intended to do so (one part to ask in panic for help, the other part to show off and have a point of comparison).
So the new werewolf walked towards the city, growing bigger and stronger with every step...

Okay! I'm back, and I am ready and raring to go! Page 4 of 'Under a growy moon'! What a page this one is; I said on the last page that it might be my favourite, but honestly? It's a close call with this one and maybe one more in particular! Ah, what am I saying? I love the whole thing! I guess there's just some pages I love for different things, like outgrowing the cab with Page 3, but we'll get to that when we get to those pages! Speaking of which, let's get to why I love this page so much!
First of all, I have to talk about the art. It is absolutely amazing, it's just stunning! The night sky with the full moon shining bright, and the little bits of civilisation and infrastructure in the background, the way the light's drawn, with it casting a gentle glow from the moon high above and the many little lights on the truck itself, it's incredible! There's just so much care and detail! Speaking of the truck though, by and large, the greatest thing about this picture is undoubtedly the colossal werewolf bursting out of the truck, tearing through it like wet tissue paper! Barry's expression here is just perfect, it's the very picture of shock so intense that he can't even react! He's just standing there as his enormous, furry body keeps growing, having just literally ripped his cab apart with nothing more than his own growth - his muscles so dense and tough that they can overpower solid metal effortlessly!
Speaking of which, as Barry's massive frame tears through the cab, as he rises higher and his frame pushes out, his mind begins to work through the shock, and that's when he realises something. This is no bad horror movie - he's turning into a werewolf! A giant werewolf at that! As he staggers out of the cab, or perhaps more accurately, plants his massive paws either side of the wreckage of the cab, he's able to catch a proper look over his new, glorious body! He's about the size of a small office building, impressively muscular, and sporting wolf-like features, from pointed ears and a muzzle to a bushy tail brushing the roof of the truck! It's quite the delightful view, obstructed only by the tattered shreds of his clothing still valiantly clinging to his immense frame, fighting against his growth spurt! Which hasn't stopped yet! On the contrary, it's still going, and it only seems to be picking up speed!
Barry's terror is completely understandable - this flies in the face of everything humanity thought they knew! It's something right out of fiction, yet it's happening! However, through the panic and fear, is something else... Excitement. The growth - the impossible, surreal growth - sends bolts of delight through his massive frame as he races up and out, dwarfing everything in sight! It gives a thrill like no other, the sheer, unbridled power his mighty body possesses! With Salt Lake City in sight, despite the debate in his mind, he reaches the conclusion to get going, even if it's for conflicting reasons! With that, the massive, hulking, and still growing werewolf sets off, growing bigger and stronger with every earthshaking step...
This chapter is utterly fantastic, I absolutely love it! The way Barry emerges from the cab, how he begins to realise that this is really happening, and of course, his conflicted and very realistic reaction! It's brilliant! Now, I have to say, that call-back to the first chapter? I really like that, it's a very minor detail, but hey, that's what makes things great rather than just good, right? However, while it's not horror movie, he's definitely turning into a werewolf, and a giant one! His shock is completely understandable, and it really helps bring more realism into the situation. After all, how would you react in that situation at first? The point that his mind slowly fumbles its way into functioning again instead of snapping back into focus is also a lovely touch!
His massive frame hauling out of the wreckage, how can I fault this? I can't! You've done a wonderful job here, I don't think there is any real additions you could even make here, aside from maybe going into detail about the tightness of his clothes stretched over his bulging muscle and thick fur? Heh, even then, that's merely more of a minor suggestion than a major issue, or any sort of issue at all, ha ha! Of course, it's not stopping here, oh no! That's nowhere near big enough for a character of yours! Barry's not done growing, and he's not going to be for quite some time! I fully approve of this, you can never have enough big canines, or big enough canines as I say!
On the topic of big werewolves, I really love how Barry is slowly coming around to the fact that he's turned into this enormous, muscular werewolf titan! Despite his understandable fear, there's a bit of a thrill of excitement in there too! The way he begins to realise the strength, the thrill, the power... It's wonderful, it's believable written, and it also adds another side to Barry's personality! He's freaked out, but he very clearly likes this development! He likes it a lot!
The fact that he can see he city is great too! Now, I realise I didn't mention this before, but I like how you've used Salt Lake City. It's a city that's not mentioned often in media and whatnot, so it's nice to have a location that's a bit fresher. I also really quite like how you mention that Barry could definitely and quite easily reach it by simply walking, it really emphasises just how huge he is now! Perhaps you could add a little more emphasis on that actual point to further highlight how big Barry is now - if that makes sense? I hope it does. Either way though, you've done a stupendous job here! Other than that, there's only a single suggestion here, and that's purely just to maybe change up the brackets for something else or work them in slightly differently? Not the actual words themselves though, they're absolutely great - they really help provide a lovely insight into Barry's thoughts! Heh, ah, does that make sense? Ah, regardless, this whole thing is just fantastic, well done! I love the plan of both asking for help and showing off and seeing how huge he really is! To be fair, I don't know what anyone would actually be able to do to help, especially since he's far too big for any hospital, even if he wasn't still growing, although I would love to see someone try to figure that one out! Showing off and seeing how huge he is, however? Oh yeah, that can be done! That can definitely be done!
All in all, this chapter was absolutely wonderful, I loved everything about it from start to finish! You did a truly brilliant job on this one and you should be very proud of yourself! This chapter had growth, believable characterisation, plot, everything you could ever want! Oh, and I have to agree with the above comment from AceArcanine, this isn't that scary, but damn it is cute! Not that I'm complaining though! Speaking of which, I'll mention where I think you could actually get a bit of horror into this without making it cheesy and keeping with the theme in general! But, that's for those chapters, so until then, take care and have a great night!
