This is getting to be a habit, my writing and all. Here's the third piece, again around a thousand words (ultra-short!) and this time we get to see several more colourful characters.
I'm trying to think of a good name for what's turning out to be a proper serial. When I have one, I'll almost certainly go back and adjust the previous stories to add it... and also to change a couple tiny details. I'm thinking of dropping the "rotations" notation (ooh, it's rhyme time!) in favour of Terran days, because that's probably what everyone's synchronising to anyhow. I was silly when I started this, and inconsistent as well. Opinions?

That'll be covered later, but at this point most of the terraformable objects in the Solar System have been gleefully terraformed, with various uplifted fauna placed there some time back to establish colonies (or do the terraforming, in some cases) and the results have ogtten interesting. More on that later as the stories warrant!
Three things:
(1) I am amused by the subtle, possibly imaginary implications that Yaz is still pretty mindfucked -- especially when he says "Yeah, my penser's a little punked." Common parlance, gently mockery of Eekay's MADDENING accent... or traces of echolalia?
(2) Is Allilouxia pronounced like "Hallelujah"? Because it would be awesome if it is.
(3) Is that a Nicky cameo?
(4) It warms my heart to see that the fine Sapporo line of beers and beer-related accessories persists into latter centuries. :3

1) Mostly gentle mockery of Eekay, though with a smidge of the echolalia....
2) It's close. The emphasis is on the second syllable, though (as far as I know!) and the 'x' is like... well, the same sound in so many other languages, an aspirant.
3) Of course not! Wait, I do name him later.... You know, I might have to change all the cameos if this does ever go to print.
4) I needed a name, and I didn't want to invent every little thing. Anyhow, remember that Io was settled by... oh, wait, I haven't gotten to that part yet. I do have some history behind it....

4) No need to mount a defense! What classic post-Blade Runner sci-fi DOESN'T have a few amusingly mutated 20th-century brands in the backgrounds? Besides (tappity clickclick google), Molson's been around since the 1780's. I'd be amazed if a few contemporary breweries don't last well into the postfurry era...
