Demon blood in this particular world is both highly poisonous, and mildly caustic. But it is also incredibly rich in magic energy. Which if drank by a vampyr, would grant them a large, yet temporary, power boost. However, being magical, Demonic blood is still perfectly capable of harming even the undead. So in order for a vampyr to safely consume any amount of demon blood, they require a magical antidote as seen in the previous page.
