Tarot: the Hermit

At first I was going to portray the Hermit as a bear, but then I realised that as a rule, bears are solitary anyway. The Eurasian badger (Meles meles, and another of my totems) is a social animal, many clans live in subterranead homes called Setts that have served dozens of generations (some are 3oo years old). Therefore the Badger seemed a perfect choice to represent not only one who dwells apart from society by choice, but also wisdom and ancestral knowledge.
Oh, and for those who were wondering, the scroll at the bottom is in Welsh.

wands represent fire and creativity, raw natrual energy, knights usually represent intuitive qualities and overcoming adversity, or as you suggest victory and achievement. So the knight of wands, at it's (to me, at least) means the intuitive ability to improvise and 'think on the go' to make successful and accurate decisions without pausing to draw up detailed plans. It also means an energetic and positive individual. rarely disheatened by obstacles and unexpected upsets.
I'm thinking of incorporating imagery of the Chinese 'Monkey King' in the card.
