I'll Take That Back

The fight that had ensued once he lunged at me was eye-opening, to say the least. His fighting style was wild and reckless but I'm sure you'd guess that at first glance. Although, it was also slow. The testing kind of slow of course. It became clear with every motion towards me that he was feeling things out. Not even to see how strong I was. More to see how I handle attacks around others around me. Those not associated with mafia ties, at least as far as he knew.
I'll admit he was getting under my skin, but it wasn't his wide grin or his reckless abandon for the situation. It was watching my hat bounce along his head the whole time, him managing to keep it on his head taunting me through the whole ordeal. Despite the clear aggravation shown on my face, I believe my reluctance to attack in lieu of holding a gun to him earlier also intrigued him. This far in I was sure he didn't care when this back and forth stopped now, he'd had his fun. This became all the more apparent when I moved under a loose slash and grabbed him by the front of his shirt, lifting him into the air.
He just smiled down at me while I moved my hat back onto my head. He didn't make to swipe at me again, opting instead to drop his sword and relax, even more than he already was if you'd think that possible.
"That didn't take long scales." His tone was airy. Not out of breath at all, I worry how long he could have kept this up.
"Seemed you got what information you needed. You started to get lax," I shook my head lightly, I'll admit I was a bit winded. But not everyone prepares to dodge a blade in their spare time.
"Psh, I didn't need anything on you. Just wanted to see how my partner held up his chunk of the city. Little fancy for me but I can deal." His hand shifted behind him, but a certain word in his sentence took more focus than that.
"Excuse me, did you say partn-" I didn't get the chance to finish that, the knife he'd pulled grazing my hand forcing me to let him go.
"We'll talk later scales, now that I know you're clean it's time to get workin'!" He yelled out, cutting through the crowd and heading towards the door he'd come through. Only to smash through the window instead even though his path was not blocked.
In a bit of a daze from his actions, I could only rub my temples from this whole altercation. A person nearby asking if I knew that person. He sure acted like I knew him. Or at least he knew me. All I could question about was just how soon I was going to be seeing him again.Mr. Dragon belongs to me
