Great story so far. Can't wait to see how Star is going to cope with the situation.

I personally think it would be really cute if Yuri would have been switched gender and then had to take care of Star.

Okay, a vertical array ELF antenna. That's going to be one VERY large antenna, literally miles into the air. So, you've already piqued my interest with the story. I started reading it, but haven't got past Star being awoken.

The U.S. has decommissioned her ELF stations, the only other two countries using it are Russia and India. I did a little checking and the U.S. Navy is now using a system of floating buoys with antennas to actually achieve two way communications with submarines, albeit at a rather slow speed (well less than early dial up modems).

So, I'll read the story, and as an electronics technician, I may also pick apart some of the technical stuff. However, I'm sure the story itself will be really good. I need to go back and write some more Corporal Punishment: Yuri's Duty. That kid seems to get himself in all sorts of problems around Star!
