I can't decide which i like more either really. I was thinking about submitting one of them to the contest.

More vocal effects could be had. Maybe try making more layers and create vocal ambience with delays and echoes and some nice filtering. You could pull out some cool stuff to accent what's already being sung.

Yeah I think mostly I'd suggest a bit of reverb and maybe some echoes/delays in certain parts to give your vocal note some more sustain without actually over powering. I'm sure you've heard songs where it's done.

Hmm... very well composed piece, my friend. The vocals seem to be a little empty- or hollow-sounding. I can see pushing some more reverb into it working, as someone else has already mentioned, and I think it could use a little more bass-end 'weight', you know what I mean? Not much more at all, just a teensy bit of tweaking...
