Even though I'm a little behind schedule for the final "Throwback Thursday" of September, 2017 (my latest 'sweeps month'), I still wanted to post one more 'photo-op' - that serves the purpose of being a 'sneak preview' of more pictures to come...
Back in May, 2017, my friend Kevin Duane and I shared a little 'quality time' together by going to the Palm Beach Zoo at Dreher Park in West Palm Beach, Florida (a facility I haven't visited since the late 1990s). We got to see a lot of unique exotic fauna, and took a lot of pictures of them. (I'd used a disposable camera, while Kevin used the digital camera feature of his smartphone.) For the balance of this year, I hope to post a number of 'photo-ops' of these critters in my 'Gallery'...
I'm commencing with this snapshot (taken by Kevin) of yours truly participating in a live wild animal show. Because the Palm Beach Zoo is partially supported by donations from those who visit the place, I thought I'd kick in a dollar. One of the trainers had some assistance by a parrot, who would take my dollar with its beak, and deposit the bill into a wooden money box.
Be sure to watch for more interesting animal photographs from the Palm Beach Zoo, in the weeks ahead... BTW, if you ever visit south Florida, and would like to know more about this tourist attraction, just go to https://www.palmbeachzoo.org
