For the last "Throwback Thursday" of September, 2017, I thought I'd post a 'photo-op' of another statue that caught my eye recently...
Several months ago, while visiting parts of Coral Springs, Florida (just west of Margate), I came across this bronze statue of nursery rhyme character 'Humpty Dumpty' (the legendary egg that sat on a wall) on Northwest 31st Court. I'd kept promising myself that I'd snap a picture of this statue, but kept putting it off... until this week, when I had the best excuse to capture him (with the digital camera feature of my tablet)!
Many portions of Broward County were affected by the wrath of "Hurricane Irma". Many trees were uprooted, small homes had broken windows and roof shingles flew off, and numerous street lamps and traffic signs were damaged. (I even saw the front façade of a Burger King completely blown off.) But, miraculously, the statue of 'Humpty Dumpty' stayed in place during the Category Four storm. Hence, this moment of posterity for the walking and talking survivor egg!
