Some of you may remember a design for an actual sona I had that I immediately took down because I hated the look.
Well I redesigned it into some furry lizard, and I'd appreciate some constructive criticism.

I will join the chorus that they're absolutely a cutie... But there are a few things I question or can note.
Firstly, there is not really a lot about them that is strikingly lizard-y. There's the tail and maybe the protruding tooth and that's kind of it. That's not necessarily a problem if it's not a big deal or even what you intended of course, but I can't say that they don't look more like just a fuzzy critter than a fuzzy-scaly critter.
Secondly, assuming this specific outfit is what you want for them going forward, I feel like though the cargo pants are cute, the leg pouches on them might just lead to more visual noise than anything else -- with their legs being so bulky and bulgy as they are naturally, they don't stand out in their overall silhouette. And -- and this is a really pain in the ass "why do you think about these things Gabriel" sort of nitpick, I acknowledge -- but I can't really see them making much actual practical use of those pockets anyway? They would seem like they'd be hard to reach with the bulk they have.Which could be the inspiration for a cute drawing too, but hey.
Thirdly, their colors and design choices are great overall, buuuut I feel like the precise color balance of purple and yellow, their main colors, could be tweaked just a bit. A little bit brighter, more vibrant yellow top with slightly darker and more desaturated dark purples I feel would make them extra striking and make them really pop. Like so, perhaps? https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachme.....70/unknown.png
Anyway, all those are really small issues I think. This is a great, fun design, and I would be happy to see more of them! Hope this has been of some use. c:

Thank you for the critique! You brought up a whole lot of good ideas.
I called him a sort of furry lizard mainly because he really doesn't fit any real life species; I didn't want to go the usual "it's an exotic dragon approach", and it was kinda late. So lizard thing isn't really set in stone.
The cargo shorts' pockets were mainly added as some extra flair to an otherwise cookie- cut kinda design. They're based upon what I wear in everyday life, and with the idea that I hold hellava lot of things all the time. Although not very functional, they're cute!
And finally, thanks for helping me tweak colors, i have such a hard time doing that sort of thing. Your very helpful! :)
