A collab between me and  H0wl. He did the rough sketch, I touched it up and did the linework/colors, then he did the shading and effects. This came out pretty good, I think.
It seems Princess Peach put her faith in the wrong person when she decided that a plumber from Brooklyn should be the one to go up against an evil fire-breathing turtle-dragon with magic powers. Poor Mario. He thought being a plumber was a tough job, but he's about to find it's got nothing on working in a mine. If only Peach had been smarter about her heroes.
